CRISS CROSS CRISIS
CRISS CROSS CRISIS
Start by draping the tie around your neck. The wide end should hang lower than the narrow end which will then form the knot, while the narrow end remains hidden.Take the wide end and cross it over the narrow end. Holding the wide end with one hand bring it up and under the narrow end forming a loop, pull it through so that the wide end is now in front, with the seam facing inward.
TYING THE KNOT
Cross the wide end over the narrow end again, forming the front of the knot. Bring the it up through the loop around your neck then pull it down gently to tighten the knot. Slide the knot up towards your collar by holding the knot with one hand and gently pulling on the narrow end with the other.
STRAIGHTEN AND TUCK
Adjust the tightness to ensure the knot is centered, neat, flat and straight. Tuck the narrow end into the loop on the back of the wide end, if your tie has one or by using a tie pin to keep everything in place.
Tying a tie doesn’t have to be a daunting task. Remember, the key is practice and attention to detail. Once you get the hang of it, you’ll be able to effortlessly elevate your style for any occasion.
